The State of Ohio marked it's Bicentennial in 2003. To commemorate that event, I created an Ohio Bicentennial Quilt that showcased a total of 12 embroideries that are symbols of Ohio - each inside an Ohio Star Block. The embroideries showcase the cities of Cincinnati, Columbus and Cleveland, as well as the State Bird (Cardinal), the State Flower (Red Rose), the State Flag, Ohioan John Glenn's historic space trip as the first person to orbit the earth, and a horse & buggy to celebrate the Amish communities prevalent in central Ohio.
